Webinar Series - Foundational Dialogues in Second Language Studies
Organized by the Center for Language Acquisition at Pennsylvania State University
Colleagues,
The Center for Language Acquisition at The Pennsylvania State University is very pleased to announce Foundational Dialogues in Second Language Studies, a new webinar series that features distinguished scholars considering key questions pertaining to processes of second language acquisition, the role of instruction, the state of knowledge in the field, and how we may move forward, among other important topics. By bringing together scholars with distinct perspectives to examine and interrogate a particular topic from different angles, the series aims to arrive at new insights and to create possibilities for future studies and collaborations.
Join Professors DeKeyser and Loewen in the first dialogue as they engage with the topic Basic Research and Classroom Research: Applying Findings.
Robert DeKeyser (Professor Emeritus, University of Maryland)
Shawn Loewen (Professor, Michigan State University)
The webinar will be held 10:00am - 11:30am (Eastern) on Wednesday, October 14th, with approximately sixty minutes for Professors DeKeyser and Loewen to share their perspectives followed by thirty minutes for questions and comments from the online audience.
This is a free event. All are welcome and encouraged to attend what is certain to be a stimulating and illuminating conversation!
Details concerning future Dialogues are forthcoming!
