Open Forum to Discuss Future Directions for Online Education and Outreach

Do you have thoughts or ideas on how AAAL can further assist its current members through outreach, professional development, or more? If so, we want to hear from you! The AAAL Standing Committee on Online Education and Outreach is pleased to announce an open forum to be held on Sunday, March 29, at 12:30-1:45pm (room tba) at the upcoming AAAL 2020 conference in Denver. (Bring your lunch!) The Committee’s general goals are the increase of AAAL’s outreach to the general public and the scholarly community, the curation of online and web-based content, and the growth of AAAL’s social media presence. The purpose of this open forum is to explore the future directions of our newly formed Standing Committee by eliciting feedback and suggestions from all AAAL members on how we can best serve the needs and wants of the AAAL community. We aim to engage members and create a stimulating dialogue and discussion around topics such as web content development, social media channels, and professional development opportunities, all as a means to enhance the value of being a member of AAAL. For anyone interested but unable to attend, we encourage you to provide your feedback electronically by emailing us at AAALOnline@aaal.org We look forward to seeing you in Denver!
