Criteria for this position (see Standing Rule 8: Nominations and Elections) include the following:
This committee selects a book or first book (in alternating years) nominated for the award that makes an exceptional contribution to a specific area of specialization or to the field as a whole. Committee members should represent a broad range of theoretical, methodological and epistemological backgrounds. The term of service for this committee is three years.
