Transnational Identities as Pedagogy: Autoethnographies of ELT practitioners

  • Wednesday, August 11, 2021
  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT

Join us for an interactive webinar on how learners, teachers, teacher educators, and researchers negotiate their transnational and translingual experiences in English language teaching (ELT) through autoethnographies. The presenters will expand on their AAAL 2021 presentations in a colloquium and share their perspectives on identity-related debates, such as heritage versus hybridity, structure versus agency, practice versus self-reflexivity, essentialization versus intersectionality, and marginalization versus transformation.

If you were a registered attendee at AAAL 2021, we recommend you (re)view this colloquium (https://aaal.econference.io/public/64O29Sh/main/sessions/2105) prior to the webinar. If you are an AAAL member but were unable to attend the conference, this is your chance to still learn about this topic!
